Repair Estimate Review

While ARV is the starting point in determining an offer price, generally the second number is the repair estimate. With this service, we consider the repairs needed to reach the ARV by utilizing the information from many projects that have been itemized and normalized to consistently estimate the cost of the work to be completed. This estimate is considered a wholesale value, one that a contractor may provide based on repeat business.  This is often considerably lower than retail pricing that contractor’s normally provide to homeowners that cannot provide a steady stream of projects.  This service is intended to provide an estimate, as actual cost can only be provided directly from your contractors. Rather you do the work yourself or through a contractor knowing a target number in advance for the work to be done is very useful, should any additional negotiations be needed with your contractor.
