Renovation Project Management

Renovation project management can be a complex prospect that requires a unique combination of technical management skills and the ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with others. Effective project management is a critical aspect of overall project performance, as project managers make hundreds of decisions that directly impact the project schedule and budget. S and S Property Services can take on that role.  

The role of project managers in residential renovation projects is to bear responsibility for completing each project in accordance with the performance objectives outlined in the contract. A project manager employed by a general contractor, or even subcontractors, oversees their portion of the project throughout its entire life cycle, but not the project as a whole. Key management responsibilities for a renovation project manager may include, but are not limited to:

• Planning and scheduling the renovation from start to finish

• Orchestrating resources effectively throughout the project

• Managing contractors

• Establishing and measuring performance targets

• Managing the project budget
